Place Thriller Bark near the fish-shaped bow
Place the Thriller Bark ship at the dedicated water marker near your restaurant’s fish-shaped bow, toward the lower-left of the map. This exterior construction spot is separate from the Thriller Bark outing destination.
Check your available ship and request rewards
Before following the placement steps, check whether Thriller Bark is available as a placeable ship. If you are still working through unlocks, open Menu → Management → Everyone’s Requests to inspect your current wishes and their rewards; wishes can award facilities, items and berries. Read the reward attached to the request you are considering before committing resources.
Keep the outing’s first-trip reward separate from your ship-building plans: that reward is a Side Dish Recipe. Visiting the destination and constructing the ship beside your restaurant are different actions. If your immediate goal is placement, start with the placeable ship entry rather than the outing screen.
Line up the ship with its water marker
- Select Thriller Bark for placement so its dedicated markers become visible in the water.
- Look near the fish-shaped bow toward the lower-left of the map for two detached green blocks marking the special placement area.
- Move the placement cursor onto the hotspot; a small quill cursor is another cue players describe at the correct position.
- Align a corner of the placement preview, using Thriller Bark’s flag as a reference, with the designated tile to position the ship.
- Complete the placement at that exterior hotspot to construct Thriller Bark beside the restaurant.
When Thriller Bark will not fit
If you are trying an ordinary dock spot, return to the dedicated marker near the bow. Thriller Bark uses a special placement tile outside the main ship. Its markers only appear while you are placing a ship that belongs at that location, so keep the placement preview active while you look.
Use the fish-shaped bow as your main landmark when the screen direction feels confusing. Depending on the view, the spot may appear below or below-left of the restaurant. Concentrate on lining up the preview’s corner with the marker rather than trying to rotate Thriller Bark inside the restaurant.
Check the placement alignment before rearranging your seating or moving other docks. The game also includes a hint specifically for placing Thriller Bark. Use that hint alongside the water markers when positioning the preview.
Ship placement, outings and themed tables

To visit the outing destination, open Menu → Actions → Go Out and choose Thriller Bark when it is available. The outing can provide Chunk of Meat, Rare Chunk of Meat, a Quill Pen and a Thriller Bark Book. Those are exploration rewards; completing the trip does not mean you have placed the ship at your restaurant.
